Jason Shackleton is a famous local potter
and we are very lucky to have a small collection of his at Leslie and Baggott.
He was born in 1956. He studied under Bernie Forrester and Colin Kellam at Dartington. He was apprentice to Mary Wandrausch and moved to Scotland – Dunscore, by Dumfries – in 1979. He specialised, until recently, in unusually large items.
Hi there,
Do you happen to know if Jason Shackleton is at Laurieston House Pottery at the moment. I’ve been trying to get hold of him and leaving my number on an answerphone, but no response yet….
We are building a house in Cornwall and hoping Jason can do some ‘squid’ tiles for us for the kitchen.
He knows me as Charlotte Dickie’s cousin.
Hi Clarissa
I believe that he is still at Laurieston House but will check around and see if anyone knows anything…
kind regards
Alex
Hi, I am an old friend of Jason’s, and visited him last weekend he is alive and well working from the pottery at Wallaceton near Dunscore. Full contact details on his website http://www.jasonshackleton.com
He might have be having a bit of a wrestling match with his answerphone …….. so best to ring a few times waiting for him to answer personally.
