18th century silver coffee pot
An interesting 18th century silver coffee pot with later decoration.
The once plain baluster coffee pot has hallmarks for Newcastle in 1727 but has been elaborately decorated in the late 19th century, with floral, foliate scrolling motifs and a shield shaped cartouche. With carved wooden handle.
Still a very handsome piece with elegant (if later) decoration.
23H, 11.5cm W at base.
